Does the story of sleeping beauty teach young boys that it's ok to kiss women without consent?

Children are way too young to understand things like this. At their age, if a boy went to kiss a girl, everyone would think it's absolutely adorable. This doesn't mean that the boy will grow up to be a pedophile or anything sickening. With parents educating their children that it's wrong to do that in reality, they'll understand. When the children are older, they'll know a lot more. They'll learn about the wrongness of things and what's appropriate to do in situations. It clear that lots of parents are just over thinking things. Let the children enjoy their childhood whilst they're young for Christ sake. Sleeping Beauty isn't going to educate the children to do anything in terms of kissing etc. There are many other fairytale movies that could be considered like this. But what's the point in creating an utter fuss over nothing? It's a children's film, not reality

Yes, it's problematic and should be erased from history. Males of all ages should also be taught that performing CPR on a woman is rape if it's non-consensual. It doesn't matter that you're trying to save her life; you're touching her chest and making mouth-to-mouth contact, and as she's unconcious, you're doing it without her consent. Womyn aren't damsels in distress. They don't need a "strong man" to help them whenever they're in trouble.

better than in the original, where he raped her while she was sleeping, and she then gave birth while still asleep

I think kids are too young to actually understand that type of stuff. If they went up to a girl and kissed her everyone would think it’s the cutest thing, not that the kid is gonna grow up to be some kind of perv. Plus when they get older and get a better feel for reality and what’s appropriate, they’ll know it’s not normal to do that. I don’t think a fairytale like sleeping beauty is going to teach them anything, it didn’t for me at least. It’s just entertainment and there are plenty of other fairytales that could be considered controversial too lol. People need to stop overanalyzing everything

Well honestly if you go in this deep you should ban all movies 🤷🏽‍♀️ kids don’t think like this. Kids know you can’t randomly go kiss everyone and if they don’t know that, the parents are at fault tbh

Some mums live in outer space and probably need to get re-educated by another mum than their own. Kids are not that silly, only adults think like that to blame something else, like e.g. movies for their bad behaviour.

Omg! Mom mom read me the actual version of Cinderella where her step sisters cut their toes and heels to fit in the glass slipper and later ended up getting their eyes pecked out. Do I want to get plastic surgery and peck my enemie’s eyes out? NOOOoooo

Its a Disney Fairy Tale for children made decades ago leave it at, that not every thing needs controversial or offensive. Different times then not everything needs be seen as promoting rape culture.

Kids are stupid, they see something they think it's real. A real prince like me would never do such thing.
