Do (or did) you look at the income level or the potential to make a strong income when looking at a potential mate?

Realistically kinda but not directly. My husband was unemployed when we first got together. His income wasn't the part I was interested in. What was important in this respect was that he was a hard worker & that our financial expectations, goals, & values were in line. He is also a saver while I'm a spender so we balanced each other out.

I think in the most practical way in financial aspect probably yes...but its not the main point of looking for someone.. its just a part of it

Not really no. As long as there is passion and a mutual support behind whatever we both are pursuing. That's a major consideration to put into perspective. Great question!

Yes, I do. It's not the most important thing, but our livelihood certainly effects our ability to live a comfortable life.

I look at my own income level because I have to take care of myself. I will not go through life relying on someone else (mate included) for income.
